At first glance, logistics is not complicated: something is transported from A to B. But if you take a closer look, you quickly realize that logistics processes are becoming more and more complex: production and order processing are becoming more comprehensive, but at the same time need to be handled faster and faster and at lower cost. In addition, advancing digitization is presenting companies with a wide range of technological challenges.
Many companies therefore turn to logistics providers such as Deutsche Post DHL Group. As an innovation leader in the logistics industry, the Group focuses on results-oriented innovation management and invests in trend search and solution development. To facilitate collaboration, the company brings together customers, research and academic institutes, industry partners and logistics experts within the divisions.
The DHL Innovation Centers, which are located near the company headquarters in Bonn and in Singapore, provide the basis for this.
The core tasks are as follows:
- demonstrate DHL’s innovation capabilities and present the solution portfolio
- take the position as a thought leader through trend research (DHL Trend Research)
- Address customers and partners on innovation topics by means of a portfolio of events, briefings and workshops (customer innovation workshops, special events)
As part of this innovative solution portfolio, our networked IBC will be demonstrated to interested industrial customers.
