That was the Packwise Christmas party 2023
Our Christmas party this year was simply magical! With the delightful assistance of Dresden-Isst 🍽️🧑🏼🍳, we embarked on a culinary journey, creating a delicious three-course meal in the fancy..
Packwise Flow is the software platform for intelligent container management, built to help companies operate reusable assets such as IBCs and returnable containers more efficiently. Together with our hardware device Smart Cap, Flow creates a continuous data layer and delivers real-time transparency into location, fill level, temperature, movement, and usage. The result: fewer blind spots, more control, and measurable operational impact.
Across releases 3.5.0 to 3.19.0, our 2025 focus was simple: strengthen the foundations that matter most in daily operations — flexible data structures, powerful automation, more reliable tracking, and a better user experience for teams managing complex fleets, multiple locations, and many stakeholders.
Flow is now significantly easier to tailor to your business reality. Expanded company-defined fields — including select, multi-select, array, and file attachment fields — allow teams to capture process-critical information directly on the asset, from documents and photos to internal status fields.
This reduces manual work and system breaks — especially when Flow is used as the digital layer on top of Smart Cap in the field.
A major theme in 2025 was upgrading automated actions and notifications. Flow now supports richer logic, multiple recipient groups, and more granular triggers — based on places, place types, and company-defined fields, including observing times, delays, and maintenance or expiration dates.
For customers, this means less manual monitoring, faster response to events, and clearer responsibilities — ideal for scaling supply chain operations.
To unlock the full value of Smart Cap, we made major improvements to Flow’s tracking intelligence in 2025: detection in ports and sea transport, more robust handling of implausible location data, improved distance calculations, and visibility of arrival time and duration at a place right in the containers list.
This brings more clarity to daily operations — and reduces uncertainty around handovers, dwell times, and inventory.
To support larger fleets, device management became clearer and more efficient (e.g., version-specific configuration and filtering and SIM provider filtering). In parallel, Packwise Analytics received performance and stability improvements — enabling confident, data-driven decisions.
Alongside new features, we delivered ongoing refinements across stability, consistency, and localization — ensuring Flow performs reliably across web and mobile usage.
In summary:
The 2025 releases made Packwise Flow an even stronger driver of operational performance — as the software companion to Smart Cap and the central platform to automate workflows, reduce losses, and optimize reusable container operations with data.
