The Technologiegründerfonds Sachsen (TGFS) invests mid-six-figure venture capital in Packwise, setting a clear signal for platform economy as well as resource-saving and efficient handling of industrial packaging in the recycling industry.
With the fresh capital, Packwise is further expanding the digitalisation of processes related to the reprocessing and reuse of Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBC) and drums. The aim is to create an intelligent recycling economy and an efficient market via digital networking.
Markus H. Michalow, Managing Director of the TGFS, is convinced: „Packwise enables the chemical industry in particular to exploit enormous economic and ecological potential with the help of an independent platform“. Tobias Voigt, Investment Manager at TGFS, adds: „The team’s many years of industry experience in the manufacturing industry for IBCs and industrial containers combined with the technology know-how in Industry 4.0 provide a stable basis for the company. The team has a productive network to the industry and associations. Packwise has the opportunity to establish itself in the market as an industry leading and independent expert“.
