Dear Packwise Community,
We wish you a happy and relaxing Easter holiday and would like to keep you up to date with the latest developments at Packwise in the following newsletter!
BASF, Hesse Lignal and Packwise jointly nominated for the German Innovation Award
Together with our customers BASF and Hesse Lignal, Packwise is in the running for the German Innovation Award 2021 in the category End2End Supply Chain Project in the chemical industry. In the joint pilot project, BASF and Hesse Lignal use the Packwise solution to better monitor and control the flow of materials across the entire supply chain. “ What started as a joint business simplification approach, has become a journey on the road to an integrated Supply Chain between business partners.,“ sums up Markus Hofmann, Senior Team Lead Supply Chain & Logistics Excellence at BASF.
A big thank you to our partners BASF, Hesse Lignal and GOcon! The winners will be announced in May 2021.
New release of the Packwise Flow software platform
In March 2021, a new version of the software platform connected to Packwise Smart Cap was launched as an important milestone, with which crucial industry requirements were realised. Packwise Flow now makes it even easier to manage large mobile container fleets and thus digitise further parts of the supply chain. Packwise customers have access to revised functions in the areas of inventory management (e.g. vendor-managed inventory), quality tracking and container logistics, as well as a standardised interface for data integration into their ERP systems. In the future, the focus will continue to be on the further development of Packwise Flow; the next step will be to optimise the user interface.
Successful completion of the PwC Scale Program
At the end of 2020 and beginning of 2021, Packwise participated in the PwC Scale Sustainability Programme for growth-stage companies. Packwise benefited from the exchange with other aspiring young companies with similar goals and especially from PwC’s large network and the uncomplicated networking with potential clients. Christoph Haß, Head of the PwC Scale Programme: „Packwise met with great interest from our Digital Supply Chain Team and it was a great pleasure for us to be able to support Packwise with experts on topics such as ERP integration and targeted customer approach.“ Packwise is now looking forward to playing an active role in the PwC Scale Alumni Network.
Zentis, RWTH Aachen, University of Siegen and Packwise start joint research project
The joint project “SmartConserve“ was launched in the last quarter of 2020. Together with food producer Zentis and the universities of RWTH Aachen and Siegen, Packwise is developing a software and hardware solution specifically for use with steel IBCs in the food industry. The current Packwise solution serves as the basis, which will be expanded with additional sensors and functions. The aim of the project is to collect and meaningfully evaluate all relevant data along the closed loop of the containers. The project is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL).
